Our Experience
With our extensive experience we know how to solve challenges.
We have been involved in some of the most complex and challenging Projects in South Africa in the last 25 years, such as:
The Pebble Bed Modular Reactor the South African nuclear company involved in investigating the feasibility and design of new-technology, modular, nuclear reactors.
The First Uranium projects which involved resurrecting the underground operations at the Ezulwini Mine (the old Randfontein # 4 shaft) and the design, construction and operation of the Mega Tailings Storage Facility (TSF) at Kareerand, Stilfontein. First Uranium SA was owned by Toronto listed First Uranium Limited and thus we had to ensure compliance with the Listing Requirements.
Finding a solution to the challenge of Acid Mine Drainage (AMD) on the Witwatersrand gold mines and assisting with a holistic solution to the issue which included all technical and legal issues in South Africa and fundraising through the London AIM listed entity.
Chief Operating Officer for the leading SA mine hydrogeological company GCS (Pty) Ltd and together with GCS, starting a water solutions provider, Integrated Water Solutions (IWS). IWS focussed on cost effective water treatment solutions for mining companies through biological and chemical means.
The Karpowership project. This was one of the most controversial and high-pressure Projects South Africa has ever seen.
Forming a private equity company for a client, Capital Mineral Resource Investments Limited with investments in the mining and energy sectors.
Advising clients in the South African mining sector regarding options for the journey to Net Zero.
Experience advising clients in several aspects of Climate Change including trading in verified carbon credits, exploring mechanisms under the Clean Development Mechanism (CDM) and offsetting carbon emissions.
Fiduciary positions acting for clients in curating biodiversity assets.
Our specific Project experience is stated in more detail under the Mining, Energy and Water tabs of our website and we encourage potential clients to review our extensive Project experience.
